Carrier helps lift Lane over Southwestern, 82-68

COOS BAY — Sierra Carrier scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Lane women pulled away from a three-point halftime lead to defeat Southwestern Oregon, 82-68, in a Northwest Athletic Conference basketball game Wednesday.

Taeli Carrillo added 21 points and six rebounds for the division-leading Titans (11-4, 3-0 South Division), who led 35-32 at halftime and outrebounded the host Lakers 48-22. Also scoring in double figures for Lane were Meagan Briggs with 13 points and Sarah Hall with 11.

Jessica Matheson scored 33 points, hitting 15-for-19 at the free-throw line, to lead Southwestern (3-11, 0-3).
