Clark’s big game not enough to down Lakers
COOS BAY — Tre Clark finished with 26 points, 21 rebounds and four blocks, but the Lane men fell to Southwestern Oregon 73-71 in a Northwest Athletic Conference basketball game Wednesday.
The Titans were up 71-69 with 90 seconds left, but the Lakers tied the score with a basket and followed a Lane turnover with a pair of free throws to take the lead. A last-second shot shot by the Titans missed.
Southwestern Oregon trailed 34-29 at halftime but hit 9-for-13 from the three-point line to outscore Lane 44-37 in the second half.
The Lakers were led by Garrett Stout with 19 points. Duce Namazi scored 14 points for the Titans (16-11, 8-5 NWAC).
