Third-year Head Cross Country Coach, John Scholl, has some high hopes for his teams this Fall. He will again be assisted by two-time All-American Andrea Gruber, and will have several of his Freshmen returning for their second season. The 2009 NWAACC Champion, Cesar Perez, will be returning to competition after redshirting in 2010. Also returning are Aria Kiani (NWAACC-19), Dane Steeves, and Reyes Rivera. The Titans will have several new men vying for spots this season. The top signees are Ryan Perry from South Medford (11th at 6A OSAA XC 2010), Stetson Smith from North Medford (6A OSAA 800 Champ), Kyle Ruhlin from Thurston (39th at 6A XC), and Tyler Zyph from Pendleton (5A OSAA 800 runner-up). Top returner Rachel Jensen (NWWACC-8) will be leading the way followed closely by Gylany Crossman (18).  Overall, Coach Scholl feels that, “the number of returning athletes adds a greater expectation and competition for the squads. I’m excited to see how our men and women can push each other to new heights this season. I definitely expect some strong showings at Regionals and NWAACCs, and know the attitude of these kids is going to really provide some fun competition and races throughout the season.”
