It was another slow start for the Lady Titans falling behind 12-0 to begin Sunday's championship game against south region foe Clackamas CC.  It didn't get much better as they fell behind 22-5 later in first half but with full pressure defense and consistent scoring the Titans pulled off a 72-68 comeback to win the Pierce Holiday Tournament.

Tournament MVP Megan Shields (Sherwood, OR.) led Lane to the championship with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.  Kersey Wilcox (Bend, OR.), also on the All-Tournament team, led the second half surge scoring all 16 of her points in the half.  Tori Mahaffie (Eugene, OR.) came off the bench to have her best game of the season with 11 points and tying Shields for the team lead in rebounds with 9.  Simone Thompson (Gardena, CA.) had 8 points and team high 3 steals.  Renee Lucero (Stanwood, OR.) led the squad with 5 assists to go with her 5 points.

Lane (7-0) remains undefeated on the season and ranked #1 in the first coaches poll of the season and will host the NWAACC Crossover Tournament this weekend, but will begin this week's action against the Lane Alumni Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Titan Gym.
