Lane’s Kara Hallock won the heptathlon with 4,036 points and teammate Thomas Cranor won the decathlon with 5,996 Saturday at the Lane Community College multi-event qualifier. Athletes from Lane and Southwestern Oregon competed.

Rochelle Pappel and Kristin Clark were second and third for the women for Lane, and the Titans’ Trevor Prater and Jacob Robertson were second and third for the men.

Cranor’s lone second-day win was the javelin, at 165-3. Hallock won the long jump (17-6) but cruised comfortably, winning by more than 300 points after a 2:46.4 800 meters, one of only two competitors to break 500 points in that final event.
