Depth Charge Hits Peninsula

Lane Lady Titans served notice tonight that if they don't have the deepest team in the NWAACC there are few that can compete with their depth.  The Titans pressured Peninsula College early and used their depth to finish them in the second half, racing into the NWAACC Crossover finals with an 83-52 win.  Lane finished with five players in double figures, four of those off the bench.

Freshman Tori Mahaffie (Eugene, OR.) led the charge with 12 pts and a game high 9 rebounds.  Sophomore Courtney Walchli (Hermiston, OR.) was next with 11 pts, then three players had 10 pts, Felli Rodriguez (Springfield, OR.), Jordan Wilcox (Prineville, OR.) and Megan Shields (Sherwood, OR.).

The Titans full court pressure induced 27 Peninsula turnovers and Lane came up with 16 steals led by Jordan Wilcox and her twin sister Kersey Wilcox (Prineville, OR.) with 4 each.  Kersey Wilcox also led the squad with 4 assists with Renee Lucero (Stanwood, WA.) also collecting 4 assists.

The Titans (10-0) face eastern region powerhouse Yakima Valley CC in the championship Sunday at 4 pm in the Titan Gym.  This is the third consecutive preseason tournament final of the year for the Titans, with two championships already under their belts.
