Former Titan: OSU’s Hallock second in heptathlon
RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Oregon State junior Kara Hallock had a strong showing in the heptathlon during the second day of competition at the UC Riverside Spring Classic Invitational.
Hallock, who spent the past two seasons competing at Lane Community College, scored 5,000 points to finish second overall on Friday.
Hallock was second in the long jump, hurdles and 800 meters, and she finished third in the high jump.
OSU freshman Saiska McNairy won the javelin portion of the heptathlon on the way to a personal-best total of 4,270 points, good enough for 10th place.
