Grumbley Retires From Women's Basketball

Kevin Grumbley, an assistant with the Women’s Basketball program has retired from coaching after eighteen years at Lane.  Grumbley first joined the staff as a volunteer assistant in the Fall of 1999 under current Head Coach Greg Sheley.
 

During his eighteen years, Kevin has helped the Titans to the NWAC tournament sixteen years in a row, winning an unprecedented five titles, playing in two other championship games and going to the Final Four thirteen seasons.
 

Grumbley has been a big factor in sending over 50 players on to four -year colleges and universities during his tenure.  For the past five seasons he has acted as the offensive coordinator helping the Titans to lead the NWAC in scoring four times.  During the 2015-2016 season, Lane averaged 88.4 points per game a school record.
 

During his tenure at Lane, Coach Grumbley finished his B.A. at Western Oregon University, married his wife Leigha and welcomed their first child, Parker.  Kevin has plans to enter private business.
 

The entire Lane coaching staff, current players, past players and athletic department are very appreciative of Kevin’s efforts for almost two decades and wish him the very best in the future!
