Hawks take over in overtime to drop LCC men at tourney

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Columbia Basin scored the last 11 points in the second overtime for a 76-67 men’s basketball victory over Lane at the Pierce College Thanksgiving Invitational on Saturday.

Kirk Forstrom led the Titans (0-2), who opened their season with an 87-57 loss to Bellevue on Friday night, with 15 points. Darrell Breazell added 13 and Nick Lindsey, a freshman out of South Eugene, had 10.

After hosting the Concordia University JV at 7 p.m. Thursday, the Titans will play in their Dale Bates Tournament starting Dec. 10.
