Lady Titans Double Up Penquins

Freshman Nicole Hannifan, 17 pts and 11 rebounds, and Sophomore Megan Shields, 14 pts and 10 rebounds recorded double-doubles as the Lane women's basketball team pounded Clark College 91-49. The Titans controlled the boards, out rebounding the Penquins 56-42 and protected the basketball with a season low 11 turnovers in the win. Lane traded baskets for the first five minutes of the game but continued to outrace the Penquins up the floor for open layups and 3 pointers in route to a 42-22 lead at the ha lf. The Titans continued their pressure defense after the half and extended their lead to 44 points at one point. Freshman Renee Lucero came off the bench to lead all scorers 22 pts. Jordan Wilcox, also off the bench, recorded 11 pts and twin sister Kersey Wilcox led the team with 5 assists. Ten Titans scored in the win as they improved their season record to 4-0.

The Titans return to action December 7th at the Pierce Tournament in Lakewood, Washington against Green River Community College. Next home game for Titans will be December 13th against the Lane Alumni just prior to hosting the Lane Crossover beginning December 14th. Lane opens the tournament against South Puget Sound Community College.
