Lane adds three baseball recruits
Lane Community College baseball coach Josh Blunt has announced the signing of three more area prep players to letters of intent.
Thurston’s Shane Quarterley and Kyle Watson were joined by Elmira’s Travis Boggs as the Titans’ latest signees. They join Pleasant Hill’s Jackson Bertsch, who signed with Lane last month.
Quarterley is an infielder/pitcher who hit .500 with 15 doubles and had a 6-0 record with a 1.27 ERA for the Colts as a junior. Watson pitches and plays first base, posting an 0.89 ERA and hitting 11 home runs last spring.
Boggs was the Sky-Em League pitcher of the year for the Falcons who struck out 84 in 65 1/3 innings last year.
