Lane falls to Umpqua in NWAC showdown

ROSEBURG — Umpqua dominated the boards and handed Lane its first conference loss of the season, 77-58, Wednesday night in a showdown among the top women’s teams in the South Region of the Northwest Athletic Conference.

Jordan Stotler scored 24 points, pulled down 13 rebounds and blocked four shots for the Riverhawks, who outrebounded the Titans 58-34.

Umpqua kept its perfect conference record alive at 4-0 (15-2 overall) while Lane slipped to 3-1 (14-3).

The Titans were led by Sarah Hall with 19 points, and Sierra Carrier added 16 points and 10 rebounds.
