Lane men have six-game winning streak snapped

The Lane men’s basketball team had a six-game winning streak snapped Saturday in an 89-74 home loss to Clark.

The Titans shot only 34.4 percent from the field in the first half in trailing 50-33 at halftime.

Lane (18-4, 6-3 NWAC South) fell into a second-place tie with Clackamas in the regional standings with the Penguins (17-4, 8-1) remaining atop the race.

Usama Zaid led Lane with 25 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Jacob Bigler and Mitch Franz added 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Clark’s Bryan Berg led all scorers with 27 points.
