Lane men reach NWAACC hoops tournament

PORTLAND — Lane men’s basketball defeated Portland on Monday to reach the NWAACC tournament that begins Saturday. Lane won 85-69 over a Panthers team that beat the Titans last weekend, a win that necessitated a play-in game Monday.

Tyler Coleman had 31 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Titans, who led by four at halftime.

Lane held PCC leading scorer Max D’Auvergne to two points in the second half.

Alex Coleman 13 points and seven rebounds. Kenan Middleton had 10 points and eight rebounds. Jared Kelsay had 10 points, as well.

The Titans open the tournament in Kennewick, Wash., against Big Bend Community College on Saturday.
