OREGON CITY — Lane saw its 24-point lead evaporate over the final nine minutes of regulation without scoring, then made its last six free throws in overtime to seal an 87-80 men’s basketball victory over Clackamas on Saturday.
The Titans (16-3), ranked third in the 32-team Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges, improved to 4-1 in the South Region behind Keynan Middleton’s 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Tyler Coleman had 16 points and seven rebounds, and Byron Johnson added 15 points, including five on free throws in the extra period.
Jarred Kelsay also had a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists for the Titans, and Levi Strandberg added 11 points.
Lane led 73-49 after Middleton’s basket off a steal with 8:54 left in regulation but didn’t score again as the Cougars (9-10, 1-4) roared back to tie. Grant Sitton led Clackamas with 18 points.
