Lane men’s baseball swept at Lower Columbia
LONGVIEW, Wash. —Lane’s baseball team struggled to cross the plate against Lower Columbia on Friday, scoring just one run in a doubleheader sweep by the Red Devils, 1-0 and 2-1.
The Titans (0-5) managed six hits in the first game but couldn’t answer Lower Columbia’s fourth-inning score. Austin Crowson took the loss, despite allowing just three hits in five innings. Bryce Mulcahy and Hank Forrest each had two hits.
Lower Columbia (2-1) used a hit batter, an error and two wild pitches to take a 2-0 first-inning lead in the second game. Thomas Rudinsky, who had two hits, scored Lane’s run in the top of the fifth on an error.
