Lane women cruise past the Lakers off Lee’s two goals
COOS BAY — Nikki Lee scored twice off passes from Kenzie Harding, and Lane scored all of its goals in the final 21 minutes of a 4-0 shutout of Southwestern Oregon in an NWAACC women’s soccer game on Saturday.
Tawni Smith finally broke the scoreless tie for the Titans with a goal in the 69th minute, and Lee followed with her first goal 6 minutes later. Alyssa Vera hit a penalty kick in the 80th minute, and Lee scored again in the 84th.
Erin Lewis earned the shutout for Lane (7-5-3, 6-4-1 Southern Region), which clinched a playoff berth with the victory.
