Lane women fall in tourney title game
The Titans’ five-game winning streak ends with a 70-62 loss against Treasure Valley
AUBURN, Wash. — Jessica Praegitzer led four players in double figures with 14 points and the Treasure Valley women’s basketball team defeated Lane 70-62 during the championship game of the Green River Crossover on Saturday.
The Titans’ five-game winning streak came to an end despite 16 points apiece from Marikah Wright and Jordan Kimbrough. Kimbrough also pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for Lane (10-2).
The Titans were 0-for-7 from behind the three-point line and still managed to shoot better than 42 percent as a team (24-for-56). Their 27 turnovers proved to be the difference Saturday, however, as Treasure Valley scored 26 points off those turnovers and held a 14-10 advantage in second-chance points.
Lane will go to New Hope to play a nonconference game at 6 p.m. tonight.
