Lane women fourth

MCMINNVILLE — Lane’s Rachel Jensen finished in fifth place, covering 6,000 meters in 24 minutes, 8.43 seconds, to lead Lane Community College to a fourth-place finish in the women’s division of the Linfield Preview college cross country meet.

The Titans finished with 70 points, one behind Linfield. Oregon State won the meet with 51 points, and Willamette was second with 62.

Lane’s MaCayla Claver, running unattached, finished in fourth place in 23:43.53.

Linfield’s Mimi Seeley won the women’s race in 23:23.91.

In the men’s race, Jacob Berkner completed the 8,000-meter course in 27:50.92 to finish in 15th place and lead Lane to a fifth-place finish in the team race.

The Titans finished with 118 points. The UO Running Club, led by race winner Casey Campbell (26:31.03), won the meet with 29 points.

Also Saturday, OSU’s Sandra Martinez (22:57) finished in 107th place, and the Beavers finished 21st out of 29 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis.
