Lane women no match for hot-shooting Knights

SALEM — Six Wenatchee Valley players scored in double figures to lead the Knights over Lane, 96-77, in a women’s basketball game Tuesday on the final day of the Chemeketa Holiday Tournament.

Lauren Johnson scored 21 points for Wenatchee, which was 8 for 12 from three-point range in the second half and bolstered by 34 points from its bench. Johnson was followed by Darian Gasseling with 17 points and Rebecca Stevenson with 13. Lacie Kamper had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Marikah Wright paced the Titans (13-3) with 24 points while Jordan Kimbrough added 21 and Maddie Kiplinger 14.
