Lane women’s basketball holds off Linn-Benton
ALBANY — Sarah Hall had 29 points and eight rebounds Wednesday in leading the Lane women’s basketball team to an 81-75 win at Linn-Benton.
The Titans led 42-33 at halftime and held on down the stretch thanks to a big free-throw advantage. Lane (16-3, 5-1 NWAC South) was 24-of-38 from the foul line for the game while the Roadrunners (11-8, 4-3) were 12-of-18.
The score was tied with just over a minute remaining but Lane got a steal and led Hall for a layup to break the tie, and the Titans made 7-of-8 free throws down the stretch.
Sierra Carrier had 22 points and 12 rebounds for Lane, and Asha Tullock added 11 points.
