NWAACC Basketball Players of the Week - Dec 10

VANCOUVER, Wa. - The Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges has named its Basketball Players of the Week for December 9, 2013. 

 

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Shelby Snook, FR., G, 
Lane Community College

Lane freshman guard Shelby Snook is the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges’ Player of the Week. Snook was named the Most Valuable Player at the Bulldog Classic leading Lane to wins over Everett, Highline, and Umpqua.

Snook completed the Bulldog Classic with 77 points, 18 assists, and 17 rebounds over the course of three games. She opened the Classic with 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists vs. Everett then followed-up with a 34-point, 7-rebound, and 6-assist performance vs. Highline.

In the final game of the Classic, Snook scored 25 points, to go along with 3 rebounds, and 7 assists in Lane’s win over Umpqua.

The Roseburg, Oregon native is third in NWAACC scoring, averaging 20.29 points-per-game over 7 games this season. She is also 12th overall in assists with 3.9 APG.
