Second-half spurt lifts Mount Hood over Lane

Mount Hood outscored the Lane Community College men 46-35 in the second half to edge the host Titans 71-69 in an NWAACC game Monday.

Mac Johnson scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Saints.

Alex Sattley scored 22 points to pace Lane, which also received double-digit scoring from Dyrall Goods (16), Dale Baker (11) and Zach Kirschbaum (10).

The loss drops the Titans to 5-7 in conference play and 12-14 overall. Mount Hood, meanwhile, is in a four-way tie for second place in the South standings at 8-4 and 19-6 overall.

Portland sits alone in first place at 9-3.
