Titans advance at Pierce Tournament

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Jordan Kimbrough had 24 points and eight rebounds, Maddie Kiplinger made a pair of key free throws late and Lane held on for a 75-71 victory against Columbia Basin on Saturday at the Pierce Tournament.

Kimbrough continued her strong early season by making 11-of-19 shots from the floor to lead four Titans in double figures. Carmen Wright scored 17 points off the bench, Marikah Wright added 11 and Jacia Jointer finished with 10 for Lane (7-1).

Marissa Caballero led the Hawks (3-4) with 20 points, and Sydney Mercer and Morgan Grier finished with 14 apiece.

Lane is scheduled to play Peninsula at 2 p.m. today in the tournament championship game.
