Titans’ balanced scoring, free throws lead to win

Levi Stranberg led four Lane scorers in double figurs with 17 points in the Titans’ 85-77 NWAACC men’s basketball victory over Umpqua Community College on Wednesday night.

Nick Lindsey added 14 points, and Tyler Coleman and Archie Garrett each had 13 for Lane (7-10), which won its first South Region game to improve to 1-4 in the league standings.

Lane did most of its damage from the foul line, hitting 28-of-34 to just 9-of-15 for the visiting Riverhawks. Starnberg was 8-for-8 on free throws, and Lindsey finished 8-for-10.

Coleton Baker led Umpqua (6-11, 1-5) with 37 points.
