Titans collect three victories at invitational
ASHLAND — The Lane track and field team captured a trio of first-place finishes Saturday at the Southern Oregon Invitational.
Ryan Fujita won the 400 meters in 50.62 seconds and Trevor Thomas cleared 14 feet, ½ inch to lead a top-three sweep by the Titan men in the pole vault. Sean Duncan and Joel Johnson also cleared 14-½ to tie for second. Teammate Mike’l Andreason took second in both the long jump and triple jump. Northwest Christian’s Garret Kraal grabbed second in the 5,000 meters.
On the women’s side, Lane’s Tori Romig won the 400 (1:01.49) and Alyssa Taylor took second in the hammer (137-8.75). Northwest Christian’s Shaneesa Applegate took second in the 100 hurdles (15.49).
