Titans’ streak hits eight with rout of SWOCC

Brandy Blackburn scored 18 points off the bench to lead No. 2 Lane Community College to a 101-55 women’s basketball victory at home Wednesday night against Southwestern Oregon Community College.
Danielle Schmidt also scored 17 points and eight rebounds, and Reed Levings added 16 points, six rebounds and five steals for the Titans, who improved to 20-4 overall and 10-1 in the South Region of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges.
The win was the eighth straight for Lane, which eclipsed 100 points for the second time during that stretch. The Titans also beat Portland 101-47 on Jan. 28.
With three games to play, Lane has a one-game lead on Clackamas for the South Region title. The Titans have already locked up an NWAACC tournament berth.
Quynee Eharis scored 25 points for SWOCC (10-13, 4-7).
