Lane Lady Titans swept the season series with the Linn-Benton Roadrunners with their 68-41 victory Wednesday at Linn-Benton.  The Titans struggled offensively throughout the game shooting a dismal 30% from the field and only 12.5% from behind the arc.  They, however, made up for the poor shooting by dominating the backboards with 68 rebounds with eight players collecting at least five boards each.  Nicole Hannifan (Milwaukee, OR.) led the rebounding parade with 10 caroms, Courtney Walchli (Hermiston, OR.) and Megan Shields (Sherwood, OR.) pulled down 7 rebounds each.  Renee Lucero (Stanwood, WA.), Maddy Moore (San Ramon, CA.), Simone Thompson (Gardena, CA.), Jordan Wilcox (Prineville, OR.) and Tori Mahaffie (Eugene, OR.) each had five rebounds in the win.

Moore and Thompson led Lane in scoring with 10 points each, Mahaffie and Lucero were next with 8 points.  Ayla Rodriguez had a game high 12 points for the Roadrunners.

The win for the Lane Titans (22-1, 8-1) helped them keep within one game of  league leading Clackamas going into Saturday's 2:00pm matchup with third place Chemeketa CC.  The game is the Titans 6th Annual “Jam the Gym” day with admission free with canned donation to Food for Lane County or a donation to the Kay Yow Foundation for breast cancer research.  The first 500 spectators receive a free t-shirt from the Bi-Mart.
