Titans take over first place with 77-54 win

Lane moved into sole possession of first place in the South Region of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges women’s basketball standings with a 77-54 victory over Linn-Benton on Wednesday night.

The win was the sixth in a row for the Titans (18-4, 8-1), who took over the top spot when Clackamas lost to Chemeketa.

Kersey Wilcox led Lane with 23 points, seven assists and six steals, and Danielle Schmidt added 21 points and six rebounds.

Reed Levings also had a solid game with eight points, eight rebounds, seven steals and six assists.

Heidi Halemeier led the Roadrunners with 17 points.
