Titans' Track and Field announces 2010-11 recruiting class.

LCC lands Register-Guard Prep Athlete of the Year.

Highlighting the Titans' Track and Field recruiting class is the Register-Guard Prep Athlete of the Year, three-sport star from Cottage Grove, Jordan Brunetti.

Brunetti was a three-time Oregon School Activities Assocition Javelin champion, winning state in all but her sophomore year. She scored the state's 11th best mark with a throw of- 154-7, which is third among all of the current 4A schools.

She will also be playing basketball for the Titans this year.

Also joining the women's team is OSAA 4A shot put champion, Alexis Reavis Siuslaw High School. Others new to the team include, Caitlynn Holmes from Springfield High School, K.D.Solomon from, Junction City, Rachel Jensen from North Eugene, Brook Davison from North Bend and Laura Jackson from La Pine.

On the men's side, OSAA 5A jumping champion Deon McLaughlin from Klamath Union and Bret Breding from Elmira highlight the newcomers. Also joining the teams are Jacob Berkner from Siuslaw High School, Jordan Latt from David Douglas High in Portland, Ore. and Aria Kiani from Santa Rose, Calif.

Missing from team this year will be Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges heptathlon champion, Sam Berryman, who will be showcasing her talents for the Bengals of Idaho State University.

Also misssing for the Titans' squad will be 2010 NWAACC pole vault champion Robby Fegels, who will be performing for the University of Washington's track and field team.
