COOS BAY — Needing to win two of three games to earn a spot in the NWAACC baseball tournament, Lane did one better.

The Titans swept a doubleheader against Southwestern Oregon on Friday, beating the Lakers 9-6 and 7-1, and then added another victory over SWOCC by scoring four runs to win 6-2 in 13 innings in a game that had been suspended by darkness earlier in the season.

Jarred Goddard hit a grand slam in the seventh inning, helping the Titans score six runs to break open a 1-1 tie.

In the suspended game, the Titans scored four runs in the 13th inning, keyed by a two-run single by Eric Long, to finish off the Lakers.

The victories pushed the Titans to a 19-11 finish in the Southern Region, 27-16 overall, good for second place behind Clark.

The conference tournament will begin Thursday in Longview, Wash.
