Turnovers lead to Lane loss

AUBURN, Wash. — The Lane women’s basketball team committed 25 turnovers on its way to a 74-64 loss to Peninsula at the Green River Crossover on Thursday night.

The Priates outscored the Titans 24-13 off turnovers, sending Lane to its second loss in its past three games. The Titans opened the season with seven wins.

Sarah Hall led Lane with 26 points and 15 rebounds. The other four starters combined for 14 points. Reserve Sarah Carrier had 22 points and 11 rebounds. The Titans were just 2 of 21 from three-point range.

Peninsula (6-4) was led by Alicia Dugan, who had 21 points despite going 1 of 8 from three-point range. The Pirates outscored the Titans 18-6 from distance.
