Idaho Duo Inks With Titans
Rachel Fielder, Rocky Mountain HS (Meridan, ID) and Asha Tullock, Centennial HS (Boise, ID) have signed Letters of Intent to play basketball for the NWAC champion Lane Titans.
Fielder, a 6’1” post player averaged 11.6 points per game, 7.11 rebounds per game and 1.5 blocks this past season. Rachel participated in track her first two years of her high school career and was All-Conference her last two years in basketball. Off the court she was awarded All-Academic honors and also Leadership awards. Rachel also played in the Idaho State All-Star game and was the second leading scorer for the winning squad.
Tullock, a 5’7” guard averaged 5.7 ppg and 2.1 rebounds per game for the Idaho 5A state runner-up Centennial Patriots. Asha scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in Centennial’s 5A championship game loss to Mountain View High. After the season ended Asha won the 3 point shooting at the Idaho State All-Star game.
Both Rachel and Asha played for the Hoop Dreams basketball club in Boise, ID playing all over the nation. Both indicated that playing for a championship program was the leading factor in signing with the Titans.
Coach Greg Sheley in exciting about landing the Idaho pair, “We think Rachel can fill the void left by All-Region post Jordan Kimbrough and play both post positions. Asha gives us great versatility at the guard”.
