Taeli Carrillo, 5’6” guard from Mountain View High School, Meridian, Idaho has signed a Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Lady Titans next season. Carrillo was a member of two State championship teams with the Mavericks in 2015 and 2016.  This season she led her injury racked team to the Consolation title at the State tournament averaging 14.6 points in the process.

For the season, Taeli averaged 14.2 points, 2.6 steals, 2.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists leading the Mavericks to a 22-5 overall record and a 16-2 record in the Southern Idaho conference.  Carrillo was also selected 2nd team All-Conference for her efforts.

Carrillo has the potential to stretch the floor for the Titans this season says Coach Sheley plus he feels she has a good overall sense of the game.  Sheley feels she’ll compete for considerable playing time for an already loaded squad.

Carrillo’s signing ups the Idaho contingent on the Titans to four players, the most in program history.

Taeli, welcome to Lane Community College and Eugene!!  GO TITANS!!
