Former Lane Titan Decathlete Josh Priester was one of two coaches who helped the USA Women’s Heptathlon team set an all-time scoring record in victory against Germany this past weekend.

The Thorpe Cup is an annual competition between the USA and Germany which places the top seven men and women from each country in the decathlon and heptathlon against each other in a team competition.

Josh began his multi event career as a decathlete at Lane Community College in 2000.

He is currently developing a non-profit organization, the Women's Athletic Performance Foundation, in Santa Barbara.  The foundation strives to provide overall support for elite American female track and field athletes competing in the heptathlon.
