Lane baseball splits doubleheader
SALEM — Erik Long and Kyle Reddick had two hits apiece and Lane scored twice in the eighth inning to beat Chemeketa 4-3 in the second game of a NWAACC South Region baseball doubleheader on Saturday.
Long tripled and scored on an error in the eighth, and Jarren Goddard drove in Spencer Smith for the go-ahead run to lead Lane (21-14, 13-9).
Chemeketa (17-18, 9-13) won the opener 8-7, despite being out-hit 12-10 and committing six of the nine total errors in the game.
Darin Nelson went 3-for-5 and scored twice for the Titans during the set back.
