Lane home win streak goes to 70 straight behind Cole
Lane avenged its only loss in Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges play and pushed its home winning streak to 70 games with a 78-59 women’s basketball victory over Clackamas on Saturday night.
Sheena Cole scored a game-high 22 points, and Jennifer Kimbrow had 19 points and nine rebounds for the Titans (21-4), who now share the South Division lead with Umpqua at 10-1. Clackamas is third at 9-2.
Carmen Williams added 15 points and nine rebounds for Lane, which led 45-24 at halftime and had a 49-32 rebounding edge for the game.
Cole was 10-for-10 from the foul line, and the Titans were 22-for-27 overall.
The Cougars, who were led by Brittany Duty with 15 points, were 23-for-65 from the field but only 6-for-29 from three-point range.
