Lane swept by Lower Columbia, Edmonds

LONGVIEW, Wash. — Three Edmonds pitchers combined on a three-hitter, and Ryan Budnick hit a solo home run to lead the Tritons to a 3-0 victory over Lane in an NWAACC baseball game on Sunday at Lower Columbia Community College.

Connor McKeever allowed just two hits to win a pitching duel with Lane starter Colben McGuire, who allowed just one earned run and four hits over six innings.

Earlier Sunday, Bret Bitow hit a grand slam in the bottom of the third inning to lead Lower Columbia to an 11-4 victory over Lane (2-4). Pinch hitter Andrew Tracey hit a three-run homer for Lane in the eighth inning and Shaun Boehm had two hits for the Titans.
