Lane women score 121 in tourney win
SALEM — The Lane Community College women’s basketball team scored a school record 79 second-half points Tuesday in a 121-100 win over Columbia Basin in the semifinals of the Chemeketa Tournament.
The Titans (12-0) will play Wenatchee Valley at 2 p.m. Wednesday for the tournament championship.
Lane was red-hot from long range, making 16-of-29 three-pointers (55 percent) and shot 41-of-71 (58 percent) overall from the field.
The Titans were also 23-of-24 at the free-throw line.
Shelby Snook had 24 points and nine assists for the Titans. Bre DuBois scored 21 points, Mallory Shields had 19 points and Jordan Rodriguez also scored 17 points.
