Lane women win fifth straight game

The Lane Community College women’s basketball team is steamrolling toward the postseason, as the Titans extended their winning streak to five games with a 101-59 Northwest Athletic Conference win against visiting Linn-Benton on Wednesday.

Sierra Carrier came off the bench to get 25 points and 11 rebounds for Lane (19-6, 11-2), which remains tied with Clackamas for second place in the South Region with three games to go in the regular season and a playoff spot already secured.

Amber Lease also had 23 points and eight assists for the Titans, who led 44-23 at halftime.
