Moore Leads Bench and Titans to Record-Setting Victory
Madison Moore (San Ramon, CA.) came off the bench to score 15 pts, shooting 3-for-4 from the three-point line, and lead the Lane Titans to a 100-28 win over the Portland CC Panthers. Moore and her fellow benchmates scored 51 of the Titans points on a night when all twelve players who suited up scored. The Titans also set a school record by holding the Panthers to 28 points, the fewest in a game in Lane history. Tori Mahaffie (Eugene, OR.) had 12 pts off the bench and collected 6 rebounds, Felli Rodriguez (Springfield, OR.) also had 9 pts and 6 rebounds.
The starters for Lane also had good afternoons in the win. Megan Shields (Sherwood, OR.) had a game high 18 pts plus 7 rebounds. Point guard Kersey Wilcox (Prineville, OR.) had 13 pts, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Starting forward Nicole Hannifan (Milwaukee, OR.) had 7 pts and a game high 10 rebounds.
The Titans also held the Portland to eight first half points the second lowest total in history and the 72 point winning margin was fourth largest in Lane history.
Lane (20-1, 6-1 South region) have finished the first half of their league season and now have a break until next Saturday when they travel to Mt. Hood to face the Saints in a 2:00pm contest. The Titans sit in second place in the South region, one game behind Clackamas, the only team to defeat the Lane this season.
