Roseburg Star Inks with Titans
Shelby Snook, four year starter and All-League performer for Roseburg High School, signed a Letter of Intent to play basketball next season for the defending NWAACC champion Titans. Snook, the daughter of former Umpqua CC men's basketball coach Rod Snook, led the Indians to their best season in five years posting an 18-8 record overall and 7-5 league record for second place in the Southwest Conference to 6A runner-up South Medford. Roseburg lost in the round of sixteen to eventual 6A champion Central Catholic.
Shelby was an All-league performer all four years at Roseburg High, garnering first team honors her senior and sophomore seasons. She earned second team honors as a freshman and junior. This season Snook averaged 17 points per game, pulled down 6 rebounds per game and dished out 5 assists per game. Snook played point guard and shooting guard throughout her career at Roseburg High.
Head Coach Greg Sheley has high expectations for Shelby next season, "We think Shelby is an exceptionally complete player who can play several positions for us". Shelby is expected to play all guard positions for the Titans and be a contributor immediately.
