Storm can't stop Titans Baseball
SALEM, OR - In their first games since March 25th, the Titans faced the Chemeketa Storm (2-10) in a double-header that was a rescheduled game from 3/31. Lane came out with a big 7-2 win over their division competitor in Game 1. Dawson Phinney (pictured) gave up the only two runs during his 7 innings pitched to come out with the win; BJ Wilson got the loss for the Storm. Several Titans had good showings at the plate with Spenser Smith and Shawn Boehm going 2-for-5 with Smith getting one RBI, Alex Cornwell went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, and Cody Chagnon also had 2 RBIs going 1-for-3 with a double.
Game 2 was a little closer with Lane still coming out ahead with a 2-1 win. Dan Katayama helped the cause going 1-for-2 with an RBI in the 8th and Shawn Boehm (pictured) went 2-for-4. Parker Sherrell got the win and Zach Kayser got the save in the second game. The two wins puts Lane at 8-4 on the year and 2-0 in league play. Their next scheduled game is their double-header home opener against SWOCC on Saturday, 4/7 starting @ 1pm.
