LONGVIEW, Wash. — Lane’s run through the NWAACC baseball tournament came to end on Monday.

After holding on to beat Bellevue 6-3 in a late game Sunday night, the Titans saw their season draw to a close with a 9-2 set back against eventual tournament-champion Edmonds at David Story Field.

Lane (30-18) fell into an early 3-0 hole and couldn’t recover against the Tritons (39-8), who held a 9-6 edge in hits and took advantage of two Titan errors.

Spencer Smith went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Jarren Goddard drove in Lane’s only other run with a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Edmonds defeated Bellevue 7-6 in Monday’s championship game.  Lane finished 3rd.
