The Lane Titans reached into the state of Washington again this year and nabbed Marikah Wright, star post player for Newport High School in Bellevue, Washington.  Wright recovered from a knee injury as a junior to earn first team All-League honors in the tough Kingco 4A Conference this season.

The 5'10" senior scored at a 13.6 points per game clip this season along with pulling down 8.5 rebounds per game and averaging 1.3 assists per game.

Marikah is slated to compete as a post player next season, but has the ability to go outside and play the wing for the Titans.  Coach Sheley likes her ability to score with her back to the basket but says, "Marikah can score down low but has a well-rounded game, we're expecting her make an impact this season".  Wright is second Washington player to sign with the Titans in the past two seasons, following NWAACC tournament MVP Rene Lucero from Stanwood HS in Stanwood, Washington who played for the Titans this season.
