Wilcox Shoots Down Riverhawks

Jordan Wilcox (Prineville, OR.) scored 22 pts, including 7-for-12 from the 3-point line, leading the Lane Titans to their 25th win of the season beating the Umpqua Riverhawks 89-58 at Titan Gym.  For the second straight game, Wilcox fueled a Titan victory with her three point shooting after hitting three 3-point shots in the second half Saturday in the victory over Clackamas.


Megan Shields (Sherwood, OR.) was next in scoring with 16 pts, 4 rebounds and 3 blocks.  Simone Thompson (Gardena, CA.) came off the bench to score 9 pts and have a team high 4 steals,  Tori Mahaffie (Eugene, OR.) had 8 pts, Nicole Hannifan (Milwaukee, OR.) had 6 pts and a team high 9 rebounds.  Danielle Schmidt (Hillsboro, OR.) had 6 pts and 8 rebounds plus Kersey Wilcox (Prineville, OR.) had 7 pts and a team high 8 assists.


The Titans travel to Portland CC this Saturday at 2:00pm for their final regular season game of the season.  Following Saturday's contest, Lane begins the NWAACC tournament March 2nd at 12:00pm against Yakima Valley CC.  The Titans with the highest RPI in the conference will most likely be rated #1 going in the tournament.
