Prior Coaching Experience: Travis served as Lane’s assistant cross country coach during the Fall of 2007.  He was then hired to guide the cross country and distance program for the 2008 & 2009 campaign.  This past track season, Travis coached eight distance All-American athletes.  The 2008 Cross Country season was highlighted when both men and women swept the Southern Region Championships and Travis was voted Southern Region Coach of The Year. Three more of Travis' athletes garnered All-American honors this fall. 

Travis also served as an assistant coach at Southern Oregon University 2006.  He has had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best coaches in the country through his work at Steens Mountain Running Camp (for the last nine summers) and for Nike's running department (for two cross-country seasons driving the Nike XC Truck). He carries a USATF Level I certification.

Collegiate Highlights:

Travis was a two-time national qualifier in the 800m for the Raiders and also contributed points in the 1500, 400, 4x100 and 4x400 on three Cascade Conference Championships teams. He was also a member of the 2005 SOU men's Track and Field team that finished sixth at NAIA National Championships. Travis was a key member of Southern Oregon's 2004 Conference and Regional Champion Cross-Country team that finished 12th at Nationals.

Prep Highlights:

Travis ran for South Umpqua High School and was the 2000 3A State Champion and school record holder in the 800m. Over his high school career, he qualified for state in the 200, 400, 800, and 1500 as well as being a consistent all-state performer in cross-country.
