EUGENE, OR – On May 6, the Lane Titans baseballl team will open their final regular season series against the Umpqua Riverhawks. The teams will play two games in Eugene on Wednesday and two more on Saturday in Roseburg, OR. It will mark the final regular season series for both squads and both are still in the running for the NWAC Southern Region runner-up position heading into the postseason.

The Titans (31-15 overall, 21-11 Southern Region) sit just one game ahead of the Riverhawks (24-14, 20-12) in the Southern Region standings. Linn-Benton clinched the top spot with a 25-7 conference record. The second place team will host a Super Regional Tournament on May 15-16.

Umpqua and Lane played two games in March with the teams splitting results (6-2 Umpqua and 6-0 Lane).
