Titans Clinch 2nd Place, Host Super Regional

EUGENE, OR – After the Lane Titans baseball team won their regular season series finale 3-1 vs. Umpqua, they clinched second place in the Southern Region and will host a Super Regional mini tournament on May 15-16 at Lane Community College. The Titans officially clinched second place with a 6-1 win on Saturday, May 9 vs. Umpqua. Cody Roletto led the Titans offense with 3 hits. Starting pitcher Torsten Hersom earned the win going 5.2 innings with 6 strikeouts and no earned runs. Caleb Malloy earned his 8th save of the season (2nd in the NWAC).

The Super Regional will kickoff with a single-elimination game between the Yakima Valley Yaks and Bellevue Bulldogs on Friday, May 15. Following that game, the Titans will play the winner in a 3-game series for a spot in the NWAC Championship Tournament May 21-25.
