The Lane Titans Men's Basketball game win yet another thriller, this time against the Umpqua Riverhawks in overtime.
This is the second straight overtime game for the Titans, as they had defeated the Clackamas Cougars on the road last Saturday 107-101 in overtime.
This time, they took down the 10th ranked Umpqua Riverhawks 92-85 to move to 15-4 on the season.
The Titans are now tied with Clark for 1st place in the NWAC Southern Region.
The two teams traded baskets early, and a layup by Izzy Golden with 16 minutes left in the first half put the Titans up 11-10.
The Titan offense, however, proceeded to go cold for a bit, while Umpqua took advantage, jumping out to a 20-11 lead halfway through the first.
A Brody Roth three broke the dry spell, and a small run by the Titans gave them a narrow 26-25 lead late in the half.
The Riverhawks answered back with a run of their own, going into halftime with a 38-31 lead.
Izzy Golden led the way for the Titans with 11 points in the half.
Brody Roth and Ben Thornbrue followed with 8 points and 7 points, respectively.
A Noah Salmon three opened up the second half and opened up the floodgates for the Titans offensively.
An 11-2 run to start the half gave the Titans a 42-40 lead.
The Titans kept pouring it on, taking a 69-57 lead with 7 minutes left in the game and were threatening to blow the game open.
The Riverhawks fought back and answered with an 11-0 run, and the Titans were holding on to a 1 point lead with 4 minutes remaining.
A timely three by Brody Roth put the Titans up 76-70 with 2 minutes to go.
Umpqua responded with a pair of free throws.
After another bucket by the Riverhawks, they were forced to foul to extend the game.
The Titans missed the front end of a 1 and 1 and fouled Umpqua on the rebound with less than 30 seconds to go.
Umpqua went 1 for 2 from the line and the Titans were unable to convert on a last second opportunity, sending the game into overtime.
The Titans scored 4 straight points quickly in overtime and never looked back.
The Riverhawks could never get within 1 possession for the rest of the game and the Titans ended up taking it 92-85.

The Titans move into a tie for first place in the Southern Region, with a chance to take full control at Clark Saturday afternoon.
